In his own (pre-retcon) words, Piff would "represent your right brained side - your artistic, innovative, creative side - the side capable of inspirational leaps." It is this aspect he imprinted on.

Piff wears a paint-stained apron. He sports black shading around his eyes and a dark (or paint-stained) tip to his tail.

Unconfirmed Information

In the pre-retcon version of the webcomic, called Under the Lemon Tree, certain facts were stated that have not so far been repeated, changed, or made irrelevant in the currently posted version. These include:

Before being retconned into a goblin, Piff (full name "Epiphany") was described by Lily as a "weasel", but, in actuality, a ferret.

He arrived some time after the other six, during the Schlock Mercenary cross-over and lead up to the confrontation with the Evil Clown, an entity that fed up negativity.
