The bestiary first appeared on one of the CD collections. It was subsequently published in Tales of the Questor as filler material. The bestiary's character author is unknown. While the formatting and illustrations share some commonality with the works of Ennias Lonscript, they are written from a position that is sometimes beyond the fourth wall, and they deal with many creatures from the Outlands, which Lonscript is unlikely to describe to his king, which was the purpose of the writings known to have his authorship.
