DVDs are now PDFs

…. I’ve been having conniptions with the CD/DVDs. The disks, you see, have a combination of HTML and some JAVA cobbled together by a friend to make a browser-friendly, er, browsing system. Unfortunately, after many years and many editings with each update, it for whatever reason no longer works… on top of that, my DVD burner is vershtunken, and only works intermediately– and companies that will copy DVDs for you? Well, they want minimum order sizes and hundreds of dollars.

So in order to get you all the content you paid for, I’m going to have to go with a different route. I’m going to convert the archives into PDF files, and provide them as downloadable content. Nothing fancy, I’m afraid– just one page, one strip, one page, one strip… and maybe a nice cover image. I’ve just got to figure out what software to use to create the PDF files.

As way of apology to both those who ordered the Archive DVD and those who ordered the Girls of Summer DVD, and who are STILL patiently waiting, I’m going to combine them into one big download and give everyone involved a copy.

Then after all that’s done, I’m going to post permanent links on the site for anyone else who wants to order a download of either.

Then, I shall curl up in a corner and go “b-b-b-b-b-b” with my lips for a while…

  1. What kind of DVD burner do you need? If it’s a desktop (5.25″) SATA burner, I’ve got 2 or 3 spares I’ve pulled from old systems clients asked me to recycle. I think I even have an old IDE DVD burner in a box somewhere too.

  2. I don’t know if I’m seeing things, or remembering them wrong.
Didn’t you have 15 pony stories? I see 13 listed. Could have sworn it was 15.
