Well... it depends an a lot of factors, but I expect the biggest issue will be that most apartment complexes these days do credit checks on prospective renters, and they don't like to rent to people who can't show that they have a monthly gross income that's at least 3x the prospective rent. (And unfortunately, apartments which don't check incomes or paper trails tend to be a magnet for the kind of people who don't want paper trails or too many questions asked. )
also depends on where you live. Rural OH is not exactly known for having lots of apt complexes to choose from. In more rural areas, often a trailer park is the closest thing to an apt complex you will find.
